Roof plumbing

Sheet roofing, box gutters, flashings and cappings, which is where most water gets into a building when it gets in at all.

Roof plumbing is a separate discipline to the pipework inside the building, and it is where the majority of water damage originates. A roof sheet is easy. The flashings, cappings and gutter junctions around it are where the work actually is.

Box gutters carry a lot of water through a small section and they are unforgiving of a lazy fall or a badly-lapped joint. They get set out properly, with overflow provision, so a blockage becomes a nuisance rather than a ceiling collapse.

On extensions the new roof has to marry into the existing one. That junction gets custom flashings cut and fitted on site rather than a bead of sealant and hope.

Questions

Before you book

Send the suburb, a description of the job and a photo if you can. Most jobs get narrowed down before anyone attends, then the price is confirmed on site and agreed before work starts.

Yes. The work spans residential and commercial, from a single failed tap through to renovation rough-in and compliance devices on commercial sites.

One price for the job, agreed before work starts, covering labour, materials and any certificate the work requires. If something genuinely unexpected turns up once things are open, work stops and you get a call before it continues.
